About the role

This is a full-time position with commencement as soon as possible, based in Tamworth with Aquatam Wastewater Solutions Pty Ltd, a trusted provider of wastewater management services with over 20 years experience. As an Aerated Wastewater Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing aerated wastewater treatment systems for residential and commercial properties.

What you'll be doing

1. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aerated wastewater treatment systems

2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with wastewater treatment equipment

3. Carry out water quality testing and monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory standards

4. Provide professional advice and guidance to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of their aerated wastewater systems

5. Maintain detailed records and documentation on all service activities

6. Collaborate with the broader Aquatam team to identify process improvements and implement best practices

What we're looking for

1. Relevant trade qualifications in plumbing, electrical, or wastewater treatment is desirable; however not essential as training will be provided for this role.

2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

3. Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide clear technical guidance to clients

4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding safety and quality standards

5. A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to job sites as required (work is normally based in the Tamworth and Gunnedah region plus other areas as required)
