We are a warehouse format supermarket, stocking an adequate range of grocery goods to satisfy 95% of Australian consumer’s needs. We have an extensive fresh food offer with onsite butchers in all stores and full scratch bakeries in our larger stores.

Experienced Fresh Produce Manager

Salary Package - 45 hours (Sun-Thurs)

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Fresh Produce Manager to lead the Produce department within our fast-paced retail environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key attributes:

  • 3+ Years of Produce Management Experience

  • Extensive experience in produce handling, merchandising & display building.

  • Keen eye for product quality.

  • Experience in purchasing from multiple suppliers.

  • Understanding of shrink minimisation principles

  • Understand financial reporting, including budget vs. actual performance, gross profit and wage control.

  • Understanding the importance of stock accuracy and stocktaking processes.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.

  • Ability to recognise & resolve issues promptly.

  • Computer Literate with experience using POS programs, rostering systems, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to manage a team, including training, direction, & follow up.

  • Excellent communication skills with team members and  senior management.

  • Provide helpful and efficient customer service while modelling appropriate behaviours

  • Positive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example

  • Physically fit and enjoys hands-on work

  • Understanding of Food Safety and Work Health & Safety requirements

  • Current Forklift Licence.
