About the role

Pacific Furniture & Bedding is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team at our Narrabri NSW location. This is a part-time position that offers the perfect opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service whilst building a career in retail! The role will be 3 days per week, as part of a rotational roster including shared Saturdays. As a Sales Assistant, you will be at the heart of our store operations, helping customers find the perfect furniture and bedding solutions whilst maintaining an engaging and welcoming retail environment.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and providing knowledgeable product information about our furniture and bedding range

• Assisting customers with product selection based on their needs and preferences

• Processing sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system

• Maintaining a clean, well-organised and visually appealing store environment

• Handling customer enquiries and resolving concerns with professionalism and courtesy

• Collaborating with team members to complete a delivery run to ensure smooth customer deliveries each fortnight, using your local Narrabri area knowledge

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is highly desirable

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers

• A friendly, positive and customer-focused attitude

• Reliability and punctuality, ability to work as part of a rotational roster including Saturdays

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Previous experience in using a Point of sale system and some exposure to excel.
