About the opportunity
An exciting and important opportunity has arisen within the Environment and Sustainability function of Thomas Foods International. The Senior Environmental Advisor role will drive a positive environmental culture and ensure that all environmental obligations and requirements are performed on time and to a high standard.
This position is within the national Environmental and Sustainability team and reports direct to Plant Managers with a functional report into the Group Environment and Sustainability Manager.

Just like our best cuts of meat, there are a few essential qualities that we need and look for in this role:
· Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated skills in environmental science/engineering or a suitably related field, and/or significant equivalent competencies gained through experience in these fields.
· Actively working in environmental or engineering management or a similar equivalent field for a minimum 5 year period;
· Sound knowledge and understand of wastewater treatment plant operation and optimisation of wastewater treatment processes.
· Understanding and experience in administration of relevant NSW environmental legislation including the Environment Protection Act and supporting regulations;
· Good understanding of Local, State and Federal regulatory approval pathways and environmental frameworks;
· Strong experience with environmental data analysis, reporting and presentation;
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, tasks and deliver projects to agreed timelines;
· Track record of project planning, support, management and final delivery.
