Stripes Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Administrator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated HR professional to play a key role in supporting our people, culture, and business operations across multiple divisions. Located in either our Tamworth or Gunnedah offices.


As the Human Resources Administrator, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of HR functions throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, and payroll administration. Working closely with management, you will help drive HR initiatives, ensure compliance with employment legislation, and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Process and manage weekly payroll accurately and efficiently.

  • Facilitate employee inductions and maintain onboarding programs.

  • Provide advice and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.

  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, workplace regulations, and company policies.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.

  • Support workforce planning, reporting, and HR projects as required.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Human Resources, Payroll, or Administration role.

  • Experience within the construction, engineering, mining, or related industries will be highly regarded.

  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, awards, and HR best practices.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Xero.

  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
