Construction Site Supervisor/Leading Hand

Are you a Carpenter who takes pride in running a well-organised site?

We’re looking for someone who brings structure, clear communication, and strong standards to every project.

This role suits a supervisor who takes ownership, stays ahead of issues, and delivers consistently from start to finish — someone who treats each site with a high level of responsibility and pride in the outcome, without needing to be micromanaged.

About the Role

Requirements for this role:

  • 6–8 years carpentry experience

  • 1–2 years in a supervisory or leading hand role

  • Carpentry Trade Certificate (Cert III essential)

  • Australian citizenship (essential)

You’ll be responsible for managing a variety of projects to ensure they are on time, on budget, and to a high standard — while maintaining strong communication with trades, clients, and the internal team.

This is a hands-on leadership role where organisation, clarity, and accountability matter more than talk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations

  • Coordinate and schedule trades

  • Maintain build program and timelines

  • Enforce quality control and site standards

  • Ensure site safety and compliance

  • Communicate updates to clients and team

  • Identify and resolve issues early

  • Assist with training and guiding junior team members

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in residential construction (Leading Hand or Supervisor level)

  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site management

  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

  • Highly organised with strong time management skills

  • Confident communicator with trades, suppliers, and clients

  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure

  • Basic computer skills (project management software, email, reporting)

What Success Looks Like

  • Sites are well-run, organised, and predictable

  • Trades know what’s expected and show up prepared

  • Issues are solved early, not escalated late

  • Projects move forward without constant supervision

  • Clients and management have confidence in delivery

What You’ll Get

  • Consistent pipeline of quality projects

  • Systems and processes that actually work

  • Supportive, high-performance team

  • Competitive salary + vehicle (based on experience)

  • Long-term growth opportunity
