About the role

Storeplan is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Contracts Admin to join our team in Tamworth, NSW. This is a full-time position that combines project management expertise with contracts administration capabilities. In this pivotal role, you will oversee construction projects from inception through completion whilst managing contractual obligations and documentation. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, whilst maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and clients.

Key responsibilities

  1. Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from pre-planning through to project completion

  2. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure efficient delivery within agreed parameters

  3. Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports

  4. Administer contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.

  5. Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and disputes in a timely and professional manner

  6. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and site teams to maintain clear communication and alignment

  7. Maintain accurate records of all contractual agreements, correspondence, and project milestones

  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and statutory requirements

  9. Prepare and present regular project updates and performance reports to senior management and clients

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience working as a Project Manager or in a Project Management/Contracts Administration role within the construction industry

  2. Minimum 5-8 years of project management experience in construction is required

  3. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including standard terms and conditions, variations, and dispute resolution

  4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail

  5. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands

  6. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications

  7. Experience with any industry standard project management software is required

  8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

  9. Sound understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and relevant construction legislation

  10. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions and manage conflict professionally

  11. Qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, or Cert III or IV in carpentry.

  12. Current driver's licence.
