Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and coordination of NCAT cases, including documentation, evidence, and lodgements

  • Prepare case summaries and briefing materials for the NCAT Specialist

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, organisational policies, and Homes North values

  • Represent Homes North at NCAT as required within delegation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and case files

  • Engage with internal teams and stakeholders to support effective case management

  • Provide guidance and advice to staff on NCAT processes

  • Identify and minimise risk in line with legislation and policy

  • Deliver professional, values-based customer service

  • Comply with Work Health and Safety requirements

What You will Bring

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve effective outcomes

  • Sound knowledge of the NSW Residential Tenancies Act and NCAT processes

  • Experience in tribunal, legal representation, or advocacy roles

  • Culturally aware, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills

  • High level of written, verbal, and computer literacy

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in business, community services, or legal environments (desirable)

  • Background in housing, community services, or tribunal/legal settings (desirable)
