Join the team at Cavanagh’s Transport

Cavanagh’s Transport is a family-owned and operated transport company with a strong reputation in the livestock industry. We are passionate about supporting Australian producers and delivering reliable transport solutions across regional and rural Australia.

We are currently seeking an organised, motivated, and detail-oriented Livestock Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for agriculture, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional administrative support.

Whether you’re already working in agriculture or looking to combine your love of the livestock industry with a rewarding administration career, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Livestock Administrator, you will be a key member of our operations team, helping to ensure invoicing and pricing is kept up to date. You’ll work closely with customers, producers, agents, drivers, and management, playing a key role in keeping our business organised, efficient, and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, price and process jobs and invoices daily.

  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing professional and responsive service via phone and email.

  • Reconcile completed transport jobs and assist with customer invoicing processes.

  • Maintain customer accounts and ensure information is recorded accurately within company systems.

  • Assist with reporting, data entry, and general administrative tasks to support daily business operations.

  • Provide administrative support to management and contribute to the continuous improvement of office processes and systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.

  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.

  • Professional customer service skills.

  • Strong computer literacy and administrative capabilities.

Desirable Experience

While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:

  • Previous administration experience within transport, logistics, agriculture, or livestock industries.

  • A genuine passion for agriculture and rural communities.

What We Offer

  • A supportive and welcoming team environment.

  • The opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing family-owned business.

  • Exposure to the livestock transport industry and Australia’s agricultural sector.
